Our History

HWD Shopfitters Ltd. was founded in 1964 and has steadily grown over the years to its present healthy position amongst the nation’s leading specialist joinery and shopfitting companies. We specialise in high class purpose made joinery of all descriptions for Banks, Building Societies, Hospitals, Civic Authorities and Brand Name High Street specialists together with national Hotel Chains. A large percentage of turnover is from reception desks, bars and associated work produced by time served craftsmen. In addition to the workshop production HWD Shopfitters offer a site installation service. Technical advice is on hand and the company can be involved from conception to completion if required. Our aluminium section Alcoplan fabricate and install curtain walling, windows, doors, shopfronts and fire screens via architects, specifiers and main contractors to the commercial market covering a large area of the UK. HWD also undertake the supply only of general joinery encompassing doors, frames, linings, skirtings, paneling, screens etc for main contractors. The Company is a full member of the National Association of Shopfitters, has CHAS and Constructionline accreditation plus Investors in People status. Reg No.683226 England. • We do not use sub-contractors
• We undertake contracts up to £250,000
• We use Specialist machining facilities
• We employ in-house CAD technicians
• We have 'Investor in People' and 'Constructionline' accreditation
